Freddy Snizzle: The new face of African Music

Written by on February 24, 2017

There is nothing new on this earth but things come up and around that put so many things into perspective and help shape our outlook on life. These things brighten up the corners where they are fortunate to have landed.

Let us just concentrate on the soccer and the music sceneries. In soccer, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the measuring rods, making everyone else look bleak in their respective shadows. In music, let us go beyond the foreign scene and concentrate on the local scene where we are blessed with a dazzling array of serious talent.

The gods of the industry; Sarkodee, E.L, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Guru, the crew of the “Trumpet” soundtrack among so many others make the music industry quiet blurry with their shine.

It is in light of this staggering backdrop that I present to you, Freddy Snizzle whose every action pushes him through en route to legendary status.

He is rising through the ranks and is already a force to be reckoned with in his own right. Snizzle is still blossoming but remember, the sweetness of the pudding is in the eating. Crank up your ear which till now is and has been so attuned to the dogma so much so that it gives credence to Manifest when he says; “…they run on prejudice it’s a trump card…” and listen to his tunes. What is more, you will be giving yourself a treat you will not be in a hurry to forget.

Drawing inspiration from the many things around him, he has garnered a lovely compilation of singles and collaborative releases that are trending on the streets among which include: Chidinma, Kakamotobi ft. Luther, Capricorn, No Chemp3, Anointing ft. Boy Nash (UK). These

have put him on various shows where he has dazzled with his performances; the “eTV Margarita Show” at Labadi Beach which featured big acts from Guru, Samini and Stonebwoy and very recently, the 2016 TemaFest, sharing the stage with Sarkodie, Keche, D-Chryme and so many others.

I can definitely vouch that the future is so much brighter for the Darkuman Nyamekye boss as he looks forward to more singles and possible mind blowing collaborations with various A-List artistes.

The video is a lovely blend of colours, rhyme, entertainment and inspiration. He is indeed the new face of African music, taking the industry by storm.

Trust me, you owe it to yourself to check him out, just give a few minutes to entertain his ingenuity and talent. What do you have to lose? With loads of upcoming shows, you will do well to keep your eyes open on his various timelines for updates.
