UK Based Gospel Star Gold Kay switches to secular music

With support across UK radio platforms such as Ahomka Radio, Mystic Radio, The Beat London 103.6 FM and the media in Ghana, Fresh and artistic Ghanaian born Uk based afrobeats sensation known in showbiz circles as GoldKay is beginning to pick up a name for himself.

The former gospel star “Gold Kay” who recently switched to secular music has been a part of various Television reality shows such as Celebrity Come Dine with me Feat. Gina Yashere Comedians Edition, Britain’s Got Talent 2013 Series 7, A League of its own as well as performing as a backing vocalist for various artists such as Dappy (NDubz), Jaz Ellington (The Voice), Crazy Cousins and many more.

Born Nana Kay Agyekum, Gold Kay is of Ghanaian descent, born in Ghana but raised in South East London. While he comes from a very rough mixed background, GoldKay, formerly part of a DJing team Virtual Soundz, managed to complete a degree in Business Management and a Masters in International Business Practices. However music has always been his way of expressing himself freely.

The talented singer has released his first official summer anthem and music video. The music entitled “Celebrate” was recorded in Marbella, Spain and has a great touch of perfection. There are high hopes for the 2013 Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Finalist, however, only time will tell as to whether he will replicate a solid mainstream arrival as his fellow UK Afrobeats artist Fuse ODG did in 2012 .

GoldKay’s personality and somewhat unique vocal tone has found him to stand out amongst other vocalists and granted him privilege to perform to audiences across the UK, Europe, Ghana, USA, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. GoldKay’s style is very distinctive. Combining African and Caribbean influences with a global pop susceptibility,Gold Kay has a great chance of becoming one of the world’s greatest musicians.
